This policy explains how Golf Working (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares personal information when you use golfworking.co.nz or take part in Golf Working networking sessions. We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and its Information Privacy Principles.
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you complete an enquiry or membership form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the type of enquiry and anything you write in your message.
Information from sessions and membership. If you attend a session or become a member, we may hold details such as your business name and role, attendance and the referrals or introductions you choose to share with the group.
How you found us. When you submit a form, we also record the page you first landed on, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link (see our Cookie Policy).
Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is used to keep the website secure and working.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- reply to your enquiry and invite you to Golf Working sessions;
- manage membership, events and the Founding Member programme;
- send you information about sessions, events and membership that you have asked for (you can opt out at any time);
- feature members in a spotlight on our website, newsletters or social media, only with that member’s agreement;
- keep our website secure and improve how it works; and
- meet our legal obligations.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it:
- with service providers who help us run Golf Working (for example website hosting, email delivery and secure storage of enquiries), who may only use it to provide their services to us;
- with other members, where you choose to share details as part of networking or referrals; and
- where the law requires it.
Some of our service providers may store information outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected in a way that is comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.
Storage and Security
When you submit an enquiry or membership form, we store your details securely so we can respond and follow up with you.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires, and then delete it securely.
Your Rights
You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To make a request, email contact@golfworking.co.nz. We will respond as soon as reasonably practicable and within the timeframes set by the Privacy Act 2020.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request or complaint, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Cookies
Our website uses very little browser storage. See our Cookie Policy for details.
